Anyone using Tandem Heart as the platform for ECMO?

We do not currently use the TH for ECMO. However, I am familiar with a few institutions that do and it works quite well. My argument against its use for ECMO is cost. A bio head is much much cheaper and works just as well. Having said that, I would not hesitate to cut an oxygenator into a TH RVAD if the patient needed it. For that matter, I would do the same with a Centrimag as well.
